PVC deck panels are a composite material made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the main raw material, and are widely used for decoration and paving in outdoor ground, ships, yachts and other places.

Strong Durability
In the accelerated aging test simulating the marine environment, the PVC deck panels showed only a 5% performance decline after 2000 hours of exposure, while traditional teak would decrease by 15-20% under the same conditions. In addition, the wear resistance test showed that the wear rate of PVC deck panels was only 0.10 mg/1000 cycles, which is lower than the 0.15-0.20 mg/1000 cycles of teak.

Good Anti-slip Performance
The surface texture design of PVC deck panels provides a static friction coefficient of 0.60-0.65, far exceeding the minimum standard of 0.40 required by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Even when fully immersed in water, its anti-slip coefficient can still be maintained above 0.55. In contrast, wet teak decks usually have a friction coefficient of only 0.35-0.40.

Environmentally Friendly And Sustainable
PVC materials are 100% recyclable, while the recycling rate of traditional wooden decks is usually no more than 60%. The use of PVC deck panels can protect about 0.25 hectares of tropical rainforest for every 100 square meters, which is equivalent to protecting about 25 adult teak trees.

Good Thermal Insulation
The thermal conductivity of PVC deck panels is 0.12-0.15 W/(m·K), which is significantly better than the 237 W/(m·K) of aluminum alloy decks and 50 W/(m·K) of steel decks. At an ambient temperature of 30°C, after 4 hours of direct sunlight, the surface temperature of PVC deck panels usually does not exceed 40°C, while wooden decks can reach 50-55°C. This thermal insulation can reduce the energy consumption of ship air conditioning by 15-20%.
